This took me FOREVER. I’ve never really illustrated anything this heavily before. I think it turned out really cool. This is a project of mine that you either love or hate. Its a little busy and crazy, but thats what I was going for.

Final Portfolio: Beverage

This beverage is gross. Nasty as shit in fact. I have no idea what I was thinking. Desperate times call for desperate measures. Even though its a complete joke, I really like it. If this were a real beverage I think it would be marketed as a gag gift. A few years ago there was turkey flavored soda at Wal-Mart and it flew off of the shelves. I think the same type of

freaks would buy this. (side note: I bought the turkey soda)

Final Portfolio: Black History Month

This is my #1 favorite thing I designed this entire semester. I think this turned out really nice. For me the concept was everything when it came to this poster. I knew there were going to be 10934857 Martin Luther King themed posters, and I was right. I think I really thought out of the box on this one, and it turned out really swell

. As soon as I heard we had to do a BHM poster I was pumped because I could redeem myself from my disgusting poster I made for publications.

Final Portfolio: To Kill a Mockingbird

At first I really wasn’t feeling how this one turned out, but now I’m really starting to like it. It’s easier to like your stuff when other people like it too. I think I did a good job on illustrating the dead bird. For me it doesn’t have the “wow factor” but I still think its nice.

Final Portfolio: How Safe

I personally like the original version 90128456109278 times better than this one. I guess I just have bad taste when it comes to spreads. I don’t hate this spread at all. I just find it a little…..boring.

Final Portfolio: Stressed Out

I am embarrassed to say that I did this spread. I absolutely hate it. It’s just plain ugly. The only reason I’m putting it in my final portfolio is because I got an “A” on it at midterm. Rusty is the pro, so I’m going to trust his opinion.

Final Portfolio: Helvetica

Even though this poster is super simple, I really liked how it turned out. There really isn’t much to say about this project. It was fun and quick.

Final Portfolio: Yellowstone

People have given me mixed reactions on this poster. Some people have told me they love it, others have told me that “it pisses them off” I got an “A” on it at midterm so thats all that matters.

Final Portfolio: Redbarn

This is one of my favorite pieces from the entire semester. I think I did a really good job capturing what red barn is all about. a big black bird, a red barn, and an upside-down deer head. Whatever, I think it works.
